Update on My Flu Page...
Of course with this year's big flu scare..the Swine Flu..not disappearing in the summer as most flu virus does, keeping up with the whole phenonmena has been a full time job.
To that end, I've updated my flu page, addressing Swine Flu and Flu Symptoms Questions and concerns are different for this one and I can see why. The media doesn't help...they LOVE a good story.
Bottom line, as you'll read on the page is one's immune system and how your body will react. I've listed the symptoms of flu and what you should do to boost your immune system.
I've added a number of wonderful homeopathic-herbal remedies for flu at the end of the page. Frankly these are just the thing to have in the for when any problem hits...and you have what you need to deal with it. You can always Email Me with questions on how to use them when something hits one of your family..I'm fine with that.
The Movie "Food, Inc." A 'Must See'...
Food Inc is probably the most revealing movie about your food sources I've ever seen and I'm delighted to recommend it.
Visit that link and watch the trailer. We can no longer sit by the sidelines and complain that our food is not good enough, healthy enough, clean enough or wholesome enough. DO SOMETHING!
Sign the petition, look at the pages under 'About the Issues' 'Take Action'...well...read all of them.
Remember...you buy it....you vote for it. You're supporting the continuation of lousy, nutrient lacking and chemically poisoned food.
Pay attention to the trailer. Did YOU know that the US government has made it illegal to criticise the industry's products? And that they are trying to make it illegal to take or show a photo of any industrial food operation? Or that a HUGE amount of commercial food is corn derived? How many people do you know of who are corn sensitive? Do you wonder why the North American population is SO unwell??
See the movie...take action. Like the farmer in the trailer says..."Demand it and we'll provide it!" It's that simple. People ARE powerful. You're the consumer..it's your money...your health. Producers have to listen if we're loud enough.
Summertime...means...Potty Training! (Who Knew??)
Yup..summer is the best time for potty training and I've been swamped with questions. Sooooo..I've made a site on the issue with a list of recommendations.
I've started with a recommendation to an ebook and audio I found which is really, really well done. It's by a Dr. Wayne Jensen.
A few of the major reasons I liked this program best is that Dr. Jensen:
A) Had a toddler himself who needed to be trained..so his research was from the heart.
B) Brought up a health issue which I had never thought of, but makes complete sense and you need to know about it.
C) Used REAL studies to back his decisions..again..made complete sense to me.
D) Worked with Suzy Mor - Suzy Mor provides highly regarded consultation support and advice to her client base on the US East Coast in relation to coaching and addressing problems encountered during potty training. Suzy is also a mother of 4 children. The interview is structured to take you step-by-step, "holding your hand" if you like, through the entire potty training process, from A to Z.
E) Provides an audio course...tone is critical to your young child. Toddlers are very curious and eager to learn..but put any pressure or fear into them..and you're done! When you 'hear' how it's done..it's so much easier for the program to work.
F) Gives you an ebook with a ton of extra information in it. Dr. Jensen even addresses potty training twins.
On my page, I've also included some fun things that parents like to use such as Potty Elmo. I've also provided some good links to potty training pants and other good ideas which I scoured the internet for you...you're work is done!
Baby potty training does not have to be a frustrating, tortuous adventure. Visit my Potty Training For Boys and Girls Here
Last Minute Thoughts...
Just a couple of things I wanted to mention.
Yesterday I sent an email to my 'Pet' list which may be of interest to some of the subscribers to this list. It was about Andrew Lewis and his poor dog, Noble who suddenly died at only 4 years of age.
Andrew, in his grief did a TON of research and spoke to many authorities only to find out some very disturbing news about the pet food industry and why his precious dog died.
His own vet admitted that the chemicals in regular pet food probably accounted for Noble's kidney failure and ultimate death. Imagine how Andrew felt.
I've mistrusted the pet food industry as much as I do the 'people' food industry for decades and Andrew has put this all together in an excellent report which is available to you. He figures that by making changes in your dog's food and lifestyle, you can increase their lifespan by an average of 8.3 years or 134%...very encouraging to have this information available to share with all pet owners.
Visit Andrew's Site Here. He'll ask you to sign in...believe me...it's worth it!
Also...I'm more than half way through my book on the Liver. On the Liver page, there is a sign up to a list who are interested. Just to remind you....those on that list will be getting a special, lower price when I release it. Don't miss out if you're interested!
And last but not least....I've moved..yet again! I know..crazy, crazy...but my daughter is in college and needs to live at home...too hard paying rent and studying..her course is extremely heavy. And, quite frankly..I'm enjoying all the city of Toronto has to offer. I was born and raised here and feel quite at home.
New number is 647-342-3893 Local. The toll free is the same at 1-877-402-5450 - Good in all of the US and Canada.
I'm just a few doors up from Casa Loma...which is great fun for writing my fantasy books for kids!
Until next time...
Warmly,
Dr. Deb Baker
