IP6- NATURAL CANCER SUPPLEMENT/QUIT SMOKING HYPNOSIS/RSS FEEDS/WEIGHT CONTROL HYPNOSIS/"ASK DR. DEB" QUESTIONS - WHAT DOES RINGWORM LOOK LIKE / WHAT DOES HEAT RASH LOOK LIKE ....CODEX UPDATE... YOUR FREEDOM IS VANISHING!!....AND MORE!!IP6 - Inositol Hexaphosphate - A Natural Cancer SupplementResearchers at the University of Maryland School of Medicine have found a potentially potent weapon in the fight against cancer. A sugar phosphate, called inositol hexaphosphate (IP6), was found to be effective against certain types of liver cancer in mice. IP6 is a molecule with six phosphates attached. It occurs naturally in nature in such diverse things as wheat, rice bran, legumes and even in nearly all mammal cells. It helps to regulate cellular functions, particularly cell differentiation and proliferation. (Cells developing into the cells they should be and then multiplying) Scientists took human liver cells that were cancerous, treated them with various levels of IP6, and transplanted the treated cells into mice. IP6 was found to "check" the growth of the cancerous cells--not by destroying the cancer cells but by making the cancerous cells act like normal, healthy cells. Inositol hexaphosphate decreases the proliferation of the cancer cells, keeping them in "check." The higher the dose
of IP6, the better the results. In the tests, mice that had transplanted
cells with higher dosages of IP6 developed virtually no cancer. Those
that had untreated cells developed the tumors we would expect from
diseased cells. It seems that cancer cells use iron to replicate and IP6 has the ability to bind iron and make it unavailable for the cancer to progress. There is a pharmacological product called Ferriprox used to take orally to bind iron..but as with most chemical chelators, it is toxic. IP6 is a selective agent against cancer cells. Because cancer cells are high in iron content, IP6 directs most of its attention to abnormal cells. IP6 selectively removes iron from tumors cells, which deprives them of their primary growth factor. IP6 does not remove iron from red blood cells which are tightly bound to hemoglobin. Unlike cancer drugs, healthy cells are not affected with IP6, so IP6 has very low toxicity. As an alternative to chelating drugs, IP6 has been shown to desirably alter the expression of proteins produced by the p21 and p53 genes that control cancer growth, but goes unused as a cancer treatment. IP6 actually enhances the function of anti-cancer drugs like Adriamycin and Tamoxifen. Because IP6 is present in viturally every cell, it can obviously get into cancer cells to chelate iron, whereas drugs designed to do this have a very poor track record of crossing into the cell, so are less effective. The Japanese are producing IP6 and using it with great results..and are still trying to figure out why there are no North American studies being launched...Could it be that its inexpensive, effective, non-toxic and unpatentable???? Well, I'm using it in my practise and delighted with the results coupled with a few other great natural supplements.
